Fire protection
A fire extinguishing system with water mist technology is installed in the Digitalis data center. Unlike inert gas, which is traditionally used in data centers, water mist is a 100% ecological extinguishing medium, as it consists only of water and air molecules.
Water mist:
- Water mist is created under high pressure from water and air, while the product is a mixture that behaves like a gas, which is electrically non-conductive and can be used to gently extinguish electrical equipment without interrupting operation.
- Water mist is very suitable for extinguishing data centers and other industrial buildings.
- Water mist is created from water and air at a pressure of 14 MPa
- The fire extinguishing system is filled with water, which increases its reliability, after the fire extinguishing is started, it can be put back into standby mode very quickly.
- Water mist does not harm the health of people in the firefighting section.
- It is 100% ecological, the use of cheaper types of inert gases will be prohibited by the directive of the European Union from 2014 due to ecological harm.
